May 7 | LARC Meeting | Update on Digital Modes, plus our Annual General Meeting (AGM) where we elect our board of directors for the next year. Special bonus: the members will be also asked to approve some bylaw changes proposed by the board. |
May 10 | Run for Ovarian Cancer | Support of a 4 hour event in Springbank park. Like a mini version of the MS Tour. Need roughly 12 ham volunteers. details to follow |
June 4 | LARC Meeting | Preparations for Summer Field Day, with rising excitement. |
Jun 27/28 | Summer Field Day | Demonstrating that London hams are out standing in their field (at 427 Wing), with pot luck supper, ad libbed antenna art, 31 Signal Regiment participation, chances to try lot of rigs and antennas, and all the ham conversation you can handle. |
Jul 25/26 | MS Tour | Our annual support effort for the MS Society's bicycle tour from Grand Bend to London and back the next day. Busy but never boring. Need about 20 ham volunteers for Net Control, Checkpoints, and Voyageur vans. Great learning opportunity for new hams. |
